Alumni 2011 : As I signed up for the OME training, I already had in mind to create my own event agency specialising in wedding planning. Nevertheless I wondered, was I able to do it? If so, could I do it alone and was I ready for this…?
I wanted, with the help of this training, to learn about the events industry and to have all my questions answered.
I am very pleased to have done this OME training. Thanks to the different visits and many personal accounts of career experiences, I discovered the different jobs existing in the event industry. The whole experience convinced me to create my own agency.
Thanks to this training, I have had the opportunity to experience a very rewarding internship that has also been crucial in deciding my professional future. At the end of this training, I have had all my questions answered and barely six months later, I created the agency Coup2Coeurs!

Alumni 2010 : Meeting and sharing experiences were for met he greatest source of learning. Professionals around us throughout these months bring their extensive knowledge and deliver the "tricks" ofour business in a dynamic and relaxed way of teaching, and many site visits confront us to the pace required by the world events, and allow us to get familiarized with the event industry.
A 6-month internship in Bangalore (India) offered me an international point of view. I also got the opportunity to manage an event from A to Z and improve my English; especially with business vocabulary.
I am now specialized in the organization of pharmaceutical meetings on an international scale.
I really keep very good memories of themonths I spent along with the OME team and our group of students.

Chinese Student Alumni 2010 : « We did not have such courses in China when I signed up. Therefore, that course was really interesting for me. I am quite dynamic and open -minded , that’s why I was expecting a lot from the course contents but I did not think I was going to learn that much !
I did not catch up with everything at the beginning but our lecturers were very patient and kind to me. They helped me as well as they could, and so did my friends . Every time I asked a question, their answer was very clear. I really appreciated their kindness, it helped me a lot.
I really enjoyed our off- site visits during the course, I miss that time. I could never forget those enriching and interesting events (CCIB, Cite international, Supercross, Rugby game, Chinese Christmas, etc.). My 5 months at the Robin Institute were the most unforgettable period over the 2 years I spent in France.
Being the first Chinese student of the course, Mr Cedrin (our course director) and Mr Danger (my sponsor) supported me a lot. I could get a work placement at Expo 2010 in Shanghai. Today I work for GL events China as a project manager assistant and a project coordinator within a French team. We look after of the Rhone-Alpes Pavilion located in the UBPA (Urban Best Practice Area). »

Alumni 2009 : « I’ve joined the project team “Tents and Scaffolding”. Thanks to HALL EXPO, my job aims at bringing temporary structures (tents of any size and format) for the football world cup needs in South Africa.
My job also consists in checking that the installation of those structures is properly done. I also have to make sure the basement makes the whole system secure thanks to scaffolding systems (directly provided in South Africa through local tendering)
I am also responsible for setting up more than 200 TV camera platforms for the football game broadcasting.
It’s a very special way of life…. Quite “community-oriented” but pleasant and stimulating. »

Alumni 2008 : At the beginning, I didn’t really know what I was going to find. I was expecting to find my professional way. I thought event management was a lot of fun , but I quickly figured out that a lot of work was hidden behind.
Step by step, I really enjoyed the course and appreciated working with its director (Mr.Cedrin).
In participating in the different events organized through the course (exhibitions, Eurexpo visits, Infrastructure surveys in Montpellier, Chambery or Paris) I could figure out how complex and exciting the world of event management was.
I found our lectures very interesting. The reason why ?... Professional lecturers enjoy coming and sharing their passion and experiences, then the courses and advices get more enjoyable.
I would like to emphasize Mr Cedrin’s role. A very pleasant and dynamic person….but not only ! Mr Cedrin was able to share his experience and passion to lead us all along the course.
I quickly found out that the course helped me find my professional way. I could gain experience and enrich myself.
I found my work placement at ALPEXPO (Grenoble exhibition centre) then I was hired by the company as a sales person in the Fair and Exhibition field. It’s a lively and exciting job. I can show and use my skills and gain new experience day after day.
I will keep in mind wonderful memories of the course, pleasant meetings and an amazing life story. Many thanks to Robin Institute !

Alumni 2007 : I carried out my work placement at Valence Exhibition Centre from February to June 2007. Then I could get a long -term position as an event and communication Project Manager.
My first mission in February 2007 was to organize the next fair in Valence scheduled for April 2007.
I was in charge of all the sales aspects (Prospecting potential new exhibitors, prospecting and contacting former and usual exhibitors). Then my internal sponsor asked me to handle the communication part (sales brochures and commercials). I could also work on the Fair installations and on the application form updates (specific training on the Autocad and Winexpo softwares).
That was a very enriching and complete experience. I could experience event organization even if I was not very used to go to trade fairs and exhibitions in my region !
I really enjoyed what I found out… a new aspect of event management. After my first experience, I decided to stay in the company where I could experience new positions and responsibilities (Organization of “Salon de l’Habitat” in November, “Valence Fair” in April, Monte-Carlo rally village, Sales events at a congress centre, communication brochure setup) from a course perspective, the syllabus is quite intense even if the 4 -month training period is short.
I really enjoyed our off- site visits, at Eurexpo for instance. Above all, I could learn how important “networking” is in that kind of job. To sum up, you have to be “visible” whenever you can.

Alumni 2003 : I am in charge of communication and responsible for the animation within “Centre 2” shopping centre at St- Etienne.
Thanks to the course, I could apply and quickly get a position with responsibilities. My managers were amazed that such a young person could be autonomous. I will recommend the course for sure.
